  • The manuscript is within your expertise.
  • No conflict of interest exists (financial, institutional, or personal).
  • You can complete the review within the assigned time frame (typically 2–3 weeks).

What to Evaluate
Your review should cover the following dimensions:

Originality and Contribution

  • Are research questions clearly stated?
  • Are the methods appropriate and transparent?

  • Are figures, tables, and references appropriate and properly used?

  • Major Comments: Substantial issues affecting quality, interpretation, or contribution.
  • Minor Comments: Typos, unclear sentences, or formatting suggestions.
  • Recommendation: Choose from Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

Code of Ethics and Reviewer Etiquette

We expect all reviewers to adhere to high standards of conduct:
Tone and Language Considerations

  • Be respectful and use appropriate language in your comments. The editorial committee will closely monitor reviewers’ comments, and the editor who does not respect the authors will be permanently removed from the Reviewers’ database.

Confidentiality

  • Manuscripts under review are confidential. You are not allowed to share, discuss, or distribute them under any circumstances.
  • Do not use any data or findings from the manuscript prior to publication.

Objectivity and Fairness

  • Evaluate the manuscript on its merit, regardless of the authors’ identity or affiliation.
  • Avoid biased, speculative, or overly harsh comments.
  • Provide evidence-based assessments.

Constructive Tone

  • Write respectfully and professionally. Even when identifying serious flaws, your tone should support the authors in improving their work.
  • Avoid personal or sarcastic remarks. Be objective and only comment on what is necessary to meet the study’s objectives.

Integrity and Transparency

  • Declare any potential conflict of interest.
  • If you suspect plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical misconduct, report it to the editor confidentially.
  • Do not incorporate or publish any content from the manuscript.

Responsible Use of AI Tools

  • Do not use generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to write or summarize your review due to confidentiality concerns.
  • You may use basic grammar or spelling tools, as long as the content remains your own.

Timeliness

  • Submit your review by the agreed deadline.
  • If you are unable to complete the review, notify the editorial office as early as possible so we can reassign the manuscript.
